| Dial Tool AdjusterDTA-2700Making an accurate cut is critical when align boring. With measured accuracy, the unique B&D Dial Tool Adjuster enables you to readjust the tool bit lengths to within a 1000th of an inch. With this level of precision, you can be sure to machine the bore correctly every time. When production deadlines are tight you don't have time to second guess. In addition, the DTA-2700 was made for rugged handling so you needn't worry about dropping it or banging it around. Using the DTA-2700 is easy. Just fit it over the tool bit and rest it against the boring bar. Clamp the tool bit to the DTA-2700 by tightening a setscrew. Make a note of the measurement on the guage, or zero it. Release the tool bit from the boring bar, by loosening the setscrew. Turn the knurled brass nut to pull the tool bit out from the boring bar. The distance is measured by the guage. Relock the tool bit in the boring bar at the desired new distance. Release the DTA-2700 from the tool bit and lift it off. Note:For every .001 moved on the dial, .002 is removed from the diameter of the bore. Adapter pieces are available for 1/2" and 3/8" tool bits, and various boring bar diameters. The DTA-2700 fits over HSS and carbide tool bits. | |||
